Here are some of the key points I wanted to share about our experience with placing my mom in a memory care facility.
We never thought we would get to the point where we had to make the decision to place my mom in the care of someone else but we did and I’m very grateful that Laura connected with me and my siblings to give us some advice on how the process works. I work in the healthcare industry but had never dealt with this aspect of care. Laura was very knowledgeable and she took the time to get to know us and my mom so we could make the most informed decision.
Laura helped us understand the differences in various facilities and the one that would meet the needs of our mom. We also had to keep the current COVID-19 situation in mind and how that would effect the move in and visitation schedules.
I feel like we found the perfect facility for my mom and as difficult as the decision was we feel comfortable with our decision and know our mom is getting the best care possible.
